“Ionis Agourelaio” is the first extra virgin olive oil of the year. It comes from the unripe, green fruit of the olive tree, which is harvested at the beginning of the olive growing season. It has a bright, green color, thanks to the chlorophylls of unripe fruits, which give it additional antioxidant properties.
It is rich in antioxidants, such as polyphenols, and for this reason its taste differs from the extra virgin olive oil of the rest of the year: it is more peppery and slightly spicy with a rich, fruity aroma. Experience for discerning palates!
